Flash Designer / Developer

Stone Canoe is seeking an Flash Designer / Developer to work on a wide variety of projects. The designer is responsible for bringing creative concepts to life and must have a strong understanding of web functionality, optimization and usability. The applicant must be trustworthy, friendly, and quick to adapt. We work collaboratively on all projects – be prepared to share your ideas and expertise.

• • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while managing tight deadlines


• • Strong work ethic – self-starter and accountable


• • Experience in an agency/studio environment – but exceptional work can make up for a lack of experience


• • Ability to explain technical concepts to team members


• • Must be available to work on-site



• Required Skills
• • Proficiency in Actionscript 2.0/3.0


• • Comfortable with the creation and parsing of XML


• • Strong Flash Animation Skills


• • Strong Photoshop Skills


• • Understanding of IAB standards


• • Competency in HTML and CSS


• • Knowledge of audio and video compression for the web


• Additional Assets
• • Experience with Server-side languages


• • Experience with Papervision 3D


• • Experience with implementation and usage of FLVs


• • Drawing ability
